Remy Disglair

27
Character's Race:
racially Dathomirian, culturally-assimilated Mandalorian
Character's Gender:
female
Bio:
Disglair was born on Dathomir and lived there into her teen years, training in Force-sensitivity and receiving appropriate facial tattoos upon reaching her age of majority. During an assignment offworld in her sixteenth year, her vessel was taken by Crucible slavers who mistook her for Rattataki and sold her into gladiatorial slavery. In the fighting pits, she developed a relationship of mutual respect with a Mandalorian who had ended up in the same problematic situation by similar means, and together after more than a year of careful planning, they broke out and stole a ship, which they took directly back to Mandalore. The two maintained a marriage of convenience and fierce loyalty and companionship, without any real romance between them, until a year ago, when Remy's partner was lost, ostensibly killed, during a failed mission intended to take down the Crucible. Remy holds little hope of recovering her lost spouse, but she still chases any leads she hears, that might take her in the right direction.
She is a true Mandalorian in every meaningful sense, subscribing to the resol'nare but unable to bear children herself due to injuries sustained in the fighting pits. When she is not on offplanet missions seeking her partner, she spends her time tutoring what Force-sensitive children are born on Mandalore, as well as deprogramming anybody rescued from the Crucible's clutches. She is hardly what one would call a humanitarian, and her approach to the Force is far more informed by what a Jedi would call the Dark Side than the Light Side, since cool detachment is hardly the Mandalorian way... but she also certainly isn't evil, by any stretch of the imagination. She is, above all, a pragmatist and survivor who copes with the present situation as adaptively as possible. She keeps her head shaven, since sometimes it is necessary or convenient for her to pass as Rattataki.

I am accepting volunteers of any gender to be Remy's "lost" partner. Mandalorians can be any humanoid species whatsoever. If you feel like you would be interested playing against my character down the road, and the open-endedness of the spouse character gives you enough room to operate, then please feel free to link me to your character's profile, and we can get started bringing these two back to each other within the narrative!
